LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Oklahoma Baptist volleyball team was recognized as one of 1,332 college and high school programs to have earned the United States Marine Corps and American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award.
The program, in its 31st year, had a record number of schools honored. To be recognized, a program needed to maintain a year-long grade-point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale.
This past academic year, the Bison posted a team GPA of 3.43.
"I am so proud of our team for working so hard this past year academically," Head Coach
Anna Howle said. "This past year, our team committed themselves to not only being great at volleyball, but also in the classroom and in the community."
In less than a month, Howle's 2023 team will return to Bison Hill in preparation for the upcoming season.
