Jensen, Bison Announce 2023 Football Slate

SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist football coach Chris Jensen announced his team's 2023 schedule on Wednesday. The 11-game Great American Conference slate features five home games at Crain Family Stadium at the Hurt Complex.

"This is always one of those things that generates excitement in everyone associated with a program. It becomes a visual reminder of what we are working towards and reminds us that we are only guaranteed 11 opportunities to measure ourselves against another team," Jensen said.

Ticket sales and renewals will be announced at a later time on OBUBison.com.

Two of those home affairs come within the first three weeks. On August 31 at 7 p.m. the Bison host Arkansas Tech. A little more than two weeks later, OBU takes on Southeastern Oklahoma State on Sept. 16 at 7.

In between those games is a road contest at Harding on Sept. 9. That kickoff is also scheduled for 7 p.m.

OBU will close out its September action at East Central (Sept. 23) and against Henderson State (Sept. 30) at home.

The month of October starts on the road. OBU will make the haul to Magnolia on Oct. 7 to face Southern Arkansas at 2:30 p.m. A week later, a quick drive down I-40 to Southwestern Oklahoma State will come for OBU. That game against the Bulldogs is slated for 5:30 p.m.

The Bison's last two home games take place on Oct. 21 against Northwestern Oklahoma State and on Oct. 28 versus Arkansas-Monticello. Competition against the Rangers comes at 7 p.m. and serves as the team's Homecoming game during The Weekend.

As for the contest versus UAM, game time is set for 2 p.m.

Then in November, OBU will hit the road twice. On the 4th, the Bison will face Ouachita at 1 p.m. before a Nov. 11 contest at Southern Nazarene.
