OBU’s 2023-24 Schedule Announced

SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist men's basketball coach Jason Eaker released his team's 28-game schedule on Thursday. Seventeen of those contests will come inside the Noble Complex over the course of the season.

"This year's schedule is unique to our years at OBU. First and foremost, to have 17 homes games for our players, their families, our season ticket holders and our Bison fans is an awesome opportunity all the way around beginning with us hosting the GAC/NSIC challenge on Nov. 10-11 with East Central, Minnesota Crookston and Minnesota Duluth," Eaker said.

"Another highlight of our non-conference slate is hosting West Texas A&M on Nov. 25. But to me, by far, the most challenging and exciting non-conference game is coach Quinn Wooldrige bringing his Southwestern Christian squad to Shawnee on Nov. 16. Wooldrige's investment into Bison Basketball over the years cannot be understated with him being not only an OBU alum, a legendary former player, but also all his contributions as an OBU assistant and head coach."

As mentioned earlier, OBU will host the GAC/Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Conference Challenge on Nov. 10-11. They'll play Minnesota Duluth first and then square off with Minnesota Crookston on that Saturday.

Following the first weekend, the green and gold will compete against four more non-conference schools. On Nov. 14 OBU will host Randall University (NCCAA) before a Nov. 16 matchup with Southwestern Christian (NAIA). Next, the Bison will welcome West Texas A&M on Nov. 25 before its final non-conference home game versus Arlington Baptist (NCCAA) on Nov. 27.

After those half-dozen non-conference games, Eaker's squad will begin Great American Conference play. On Nov. 30, the Bison will host Southwestern Oklahoma State.

The month of December has just three games: at Northwestern Oklahoma State on Dec. 2; at Southeastern Oklahoma State on Dec. 9 and at home against East Central on Dec. 16.

After a two-and-a-half-week layoff, OBU will begin the new year in Arkansas. On Jan. 4 they'll face Ouachita before playing Henderson State on Jan. 6. The following week, OBU will be back at home to play Arkansas Tech (Jan. 11) and Harding (Jan. 13).

OBU will close the month of January with three of four on the road. On the 18th, the green and gold visit Arkansas-Monticello before a Jan. 20 meeting with Southern Arkansas. Following the team's Jan. 25 home game with Southern Nazarene, the Bison will wrap the month up at SWOSU (Jan. 27).

During the month of February, the Bison will play six of their nine games at the Noble Complex. Competition begins with a Feb. 1 contest against Henderson State before a Feb. 3 date with Ouachita.

The team's final Arkansas road trip comes next, with a contest at Harding on Feb. 8 and at Arkansas Tech on Feb. 10.
