SHAWNEE – Freshman Morgan Becker cut her stroke total by one from yesterday to claim top individual honors and lead Oklahoma Baptist to a win at the OBU Invitational on Tuesday evening. The Bison moved up to first after posting a second round 308, seven strokes less than Monday's total.
Today marks the first tournament win for Oklahoma Baptist since 2018 when the Bison claimed top honors at the OBU Invitational. Becker led the competition in Par-4 stroke average (4.00), tied for first in Par-3 stroke average (3.13), and recorded the most birdies (6).
Senior Josie Patterson moved up one spot to tie at sixth after shooting a five-over 75, two strokes better than yesterday. Patterson charted two birdies and cut her strokes by three on the back nine.
Next up was Lindyn Ross, who claimed 10th after matching her score of 80 (+8) from the first day. Karlee Holcomb climbed three spots with a second-round 79 (+7). Holcomb was one of two players to record an Eagle, sinking the two-under shot on the third furthest hole on the course.
Nunez-Butzonitch finished in a tie for 16th with an 85 (+13), while individuals Rylei Gunter (T20th) and Rylie Spaulding (25th) wrapped up the Bison finishers.
