RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – For the second straight year, the Oklahoma Baptist volleyball team has been picked as the preseason favorite to win the Great American Conference.
The Bison garnered six of the 12 first-place votes while Harding, slotted second, earned four top nods. Additionally, Southwestern Oklahoma State and Arkansas Tech, last year's GAC Tournament Champion, earned a single first-place vote.
OBU is coming off a 2021 season in which it was the conference's regular-season title winner with a 23-4 overall record. Remarkably, over the last three years, the program has attained a 69-10 mark (.873).

Avery Hellmuth and
Audrey Poupard.
The 2022 season starts on August 25 when the green and gold venture to the St. Paul, Minn., area and face off against St. Cloud State University.
