SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist University Athletic Director
Robert Davenport announced the hiring of
Nick Weisenborn on Thursday, joining the staff as Associate Athletics Director for External Operations.
"Nick brings proven revenue-generating experience to our athletics staff. We are thrilled to have him join our ranks and help move our department forward while bettering the experience for our student-athletes and fans alike," Davenport said.
A native of St. Louis, Weisenborn most recently was the Director of Revenue Development at the University of Tulsa. He spent three years there and oversaw premium seating programs and the restructuring of all premium seating initiatives.
From May of 2019 to now, he led efforts that generated over one million dollars in premium seating, ticketing and annual fund donations.
Prior to Tulsa, Weisenborn spent about a year at Tulane University as an account manager. He worked with the Green Wave Club on prospecting and fulfilling donations for the school's athletic fund and helped generate revenue for Tulane Athletics through new season tickets, renewals and business-to-business prospecting for all sports.
Other stops along the way include the University of Oklahoma as a development executive where he was responsible for the sale of 31 new club season tickets for the 2018 OU football season and work with the Kansas City Royals. There, he sold season ticket packages and group outings to clients.
Weisenborn graduated with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Pittsburg State University in 2017 where he was also a football student-athlete. He will graduate with a master's degree in Organizational Leadership from the University of Oklahoma in August of 2022.
