HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – The Oklahoma Baptist women's golf team sits in a tie for sixth after the first round of the Great American Conference Championships on Sunday afternoon. OBU shot 324 (+36) to earn the placing out of nine teams.
Lindyn Ross' eight-over-par opening round was the best Bison score of the day, good for a tie at 17th overall in the individual standings. Her two-over finish on the back nine was a team-best.
Valentina Nunez-Butzonitch and Josie Patterson carded matching 81s (+9) to tie at 21st, as the two combined for three birdies. Nunez-Butzonitch shot four-over on the front nine, a team best, after making par on six holes.
Karlee Holcomb and Hayden Meiser are in ties for 28th and 33rd after the inaugural round. Holcomb carded an 82 (+10) while Meiser turned in an 84 (+12).
OBU will return for round two at the Conference Championship tomorrow.
