SHAWNEE – The early signing day period a few weeks ago brought six commitments to the Oklahoma Baptist volleyball program.
Here's a look at the student-athletes that will be making their way to Bison Hill next year:
Emily Boyer | Setter | Midwest City, OK | Carl Albert HS
· Has played both setter and right side positions at Carl Albert
· Helped program earn state runner-up finish last year
· Among numerous honors include Suburban Conference MVP and All-State recognition
Coach Anna Howle on Boyer: "We are so excited to add Emily to our Bison volleyball family. Her leadership, excitement and knowledge of the game at the setter position will continue to grow our program's future. She had an exceptional high school career and has been trained extremely well by her coaches to make an immediate impact in our program."

Sunnyvale HS
· Was the District 14-4A Defensive Player of the Year this fall
· Helped Sunnyvale attain a 26-9 record
· Also competed on the softball and cheer programs
Coach Howle on Delamar: "We are so excited to add Paige to our team in 2023. She has relentless defensive pursuit and a constant desire to make those around her better, and she will be a great addition to our extremely strong defensive group."
Morgan Hamel | Middle Blocker | McLoud, OK |
Destiny Christian School
· Helped Destiny Christian to two Heartland Christian Athletic Assoc. State Championships
· Hamel also was an outside and opposite hitter for Destiny Christian
Coach Howle on Hamel: "We are so excited to have Morgan join OBU Volleyball. She provides consistency, height and is an incredible teammate."
Taya McReynolds | Defensive Specialist, Outside Hitter | Yukon, OK | Yukon HS
· Was a Central Oklahoma Athletic Conference Honorable Mention selection this fall
· Rang up 29 kills in a September match vs. Choctaw
· Garnered All-Tournament recognition in September at the Noble Tournament
Coach Howle on McReynolds: "Taya will make a great addition to our team in 2023 because she can play multiple positions and has a great battling mentality. I am looking forward to her relentless fight to win."

· Named Dallas-Fort Worth Star-Telegram Player of the Week on Oct. 5 after registering 16 kills and 27 digs vs. Heritage
· Was a District 14-5A First Team selection last season
Coach Howle on Safrit: "We are looking for Lauren to have an extremely strong presence in the Bison volleyball program from the start. She is extremely athletic and plays very smart volleyball, while being a great team player."
Allie Stricker | Middle Blocker | Coppell, TX | Coppell HS
· Helped lead Coppell to 35-12 record this fall
· Earned 6-6A First Team All-District Honors
· Led the district in blocks and hitting percentage
Coach Howle on Stricker: "We are so excited for Allie to be a part of our OBU Volleyball program. Allie is an excellent worker that can play multiple positions in the front row, providing an incredible athletic presence at the net."
