SHAWNEE – The Oklahoma Baptist men's basketball team concluded its annual Golf tournament last Friday. The year, the event's title changed to the Allen Eaker Memorial Golf Tournament to honor the life of former Bison great and father of head coach Jason Eaker.
The tourney featured 10 business sponsors and 15 hole sponsors. The foursome of Corey Walos, Chevy Lagere, Preston Capron, and Chris Henderson took first place after shooting 55 in the four-person scramble.
"What an amazing turnout at our first-ever Allen Eaker Memorial Golf Tournament this past Friday. We are already excited about next year's event. Thank you to everyone involved that gave and or played in the event. We had a record fundraiser led by our title sponsor Trinity Brick. Special thanks to the Shawnee Country Club and Blake Finley for the wonderful venue and hospitality. For the Eaker family, it was a special moment to honor my father in ways that mattered to him: supporting Oklahoma Baptist Baptist basketball and golf. I encourage all that to come and support this year's team."
OBU kicks off its 2022-23 campaign at the GAC/NSIC Conference in Wayne, Neb.
