SHAWNEE – The Oklahoma Baptist men's cross country team finished third at the season-opening OBU Invitational on Saturday morning.
The Bison scored 78 points off a 4-10-20-21-23 finish in an event that included seven schools and 61 runners.
Senior Noah Eskew finished the day as OBU's top participant, placing fourth with a time of 21:18.51. Freshman Carson Kardokus crossed the line not too long after at 10th, finishing with a time of 21:58.26 in his Bison debut.
Parker Ables and Blake Cope were next up as they turned in placings of 25th (22:56.72) and 26th (22:57:17), respectively. Landon Boddy rounded off OBU's top-30 placings with a 28th finish and time of 23:19.01. Others who ran for OBU were: Cameron Mills, Spencer Conrad, Avery Hanna, Blake Rayner, and Mason Barney.
The Bison will return to competition Sept. 18 as they travel to Joplin, Missouri for the MSSU Southern Stampede.
