RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – A standout performance from Oklahoma Baptist University quarterback
Preston Haire against Arkansas-Monticello garnered the sixth-year player Great American Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors on Monday.
It is the third time Haire has won the award.
In a 45-20 dismantling of the Boll Weevils, Haire threw for 378 yards on 36-of-50 passing and tossed four touchdown passes, three of which went to
Keilahn Harris. Haire currently leads the GAC in passing yards per game (361.5) and is second in total offense (376.5).
Those totals helped OBU's signal-caller move into third place all-time in GAC history in career passing touchdowns, total career offensive yards and career passing yards.
Additionally, it marked the ninth time in his career that he eclipsed the 300-yard passing mark, tying him for fifth all-time in league history in that category.
Haire and OBU will return to the field this coming Saturday at 6 p.m. when Northwestern Oklahoma State pays a visit to Crain Family Stadium at the Hurt Complex.
