Men’s Cross Country Picked Third in GAC Poll

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference released its 2021 Men's Cross Country Preseason Poll on Tuesday with Oklahoma Baptist University picked to finish third.

East Central University garnered six of eight first-place votes to lead the poll while Harding University checked in at second.

During the last full season in 2019, the Bison won the GAC Championship for the first time. Last spring, the team ran to a runner-up finish in Weatherford, Oklahoma. Hopes should be high again given the returners that will be present this fall.

Senior Noah Eskew led the Bison in every race two seasons ago. During the 2020 conference championship, Christian Arenivar paced the squad. Both of those runners return to Bison Hill this campaign.

Additionally, junior Blake Cope returns to contribute.

The team's first race comes September 4 at home when it hosts the OBU Invitational at 8 a.m.
