SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Oklahoma Baptist women's golf team shot a 328 (+40) in Tuesday's final round for a t36-hole total of 643 (+67) to place 10th at the Central Region Preview at the Twin Oaks Country Club.
Elly Baze led the Bison with a two-round score of 159 after shooting an 82 (+10) on Tuesday, including 10 pars. The low rounds of the day were
Josie Patterson and
Hayden Meiser, as both shot an 81 (+9) in round two. Patterson and Meiser both birdied hole three as they both had a very similar card throughout the week. Patterson finished with a two-round score of 160, while Meiser was right behind her with a total score of 161.
Shelby Phillips carded an 86 (+14) for a two-round score of 165, including a birdie on 18, while
Michelle Carr rounded out the scorers with an 84 (+12) for a two-round total of 166, including a birdie on 16.
Arkansas Tech won the event with a two-round score of 604 (+15), while Henderson State was second at 617 (+41), and Southwestern Oklahoma State, Central Oklahoma, and Northeastern State were all tied for third at 622 (+46).
The Bison will return to action on Monday as they travel to the Hot Springs Country Club for the Great American Conference Championships.
