HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – The Oklahoma Baptist women's golf team opened its fourth tournament of the season at the Henderson State Invitational in Hot Springs, Arkansas, on Monday. The Bison are in a tie for third place after 36 holes, carding a two-round total of 635 (+58). Host Henderson State sits in first with a score of 597 (+21).

Elly Baze and
Josie Patterson were the top finishers for the Bison with both placing in a tie for 14th at 157 (+13). Other finishes for OBU included
Shelby Phillips (+15),
Hayden Meiser (+17), and
Michelle Carr (+20).Â
Valentina Nunez-Butzonitch, who is playing unattached, finished with a 165 (+21).
"We played well in the first round and battled hard in the second," said head coach
Mike Manlapig.

After two rounds, Katie Whitfield of Arkansas Tech is the tournament's top individual golfer at 146 (+2)Â

The Bison will play one more round of 18 holes to close out the tournament on Tuesday, with group one set to tee off at 8 a.m.
