FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – OBU men's cross country represented well as they took second place in the men's 8k at the Chile Pepper XC Festival this past weekend. This is the highest overall placing for Oklahoma Baptist this season.
The Bison scored 81 points off a 11-12-15-20-23Â finish in the event that featured 33 schools.Â
Noah Eskew led the runner-up squad with a 11th overall finish, as he covered the 8k in 26:24.4. Maxamillian Wheeler placed 12th as the second Bison finisher, posting a time of 26:26.1. Placing 15th was Parker Ables, the third OBU runner, in 26:29.0, while Blake Cope took 15th at 26:52.0. Freshman Jack Reed, 23rd in 26:54.6, rounded out the team scoring for Oklahoma Baptist.Â
Other participants, Carson Kardokus and Landon Boddy, placed 35th (27:11.9) and 71st (28:20.4).Â
Oklahoma Baptist will begin the postseason with the GAC Championships in Searcy on Oct. 23rd.Â
