Bison Conclude Fall With 10th Place Finish

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – The Oklahoma Baptist women's golf team wrapped up their fall season with a 10th place finish in the D-II Central Regional Preview on Monday in Hot Springs at the Hot Springs Country Club.

In the concluding round, the squad carded 312 (+24), two strokes less than their first round 314 (+26). Overall, OBU scored 608, affording a one-place push from Sunday.

Heading into the final round, the Bison were able to rally with their lowest team total of the event, due to a strong showing from Hayden Meiser. The senior exchanged her inaugural 75 for a 74 in round two after chipping in three bridies in her run. Meiser's 149 total is a season-low as she led OBU for the second time this fall and finished tied for 13th, four places higher than yesterday.

Lindyn Ross tied for 41st after posting a two-stroke improvement of 77 from Sunday, including three birdies on the back nine. Josie Patterson and Valentina Nunez-Butzonitch shot one stroke between each other, recording an 80 and 81, respectively. Patterson tied at 58th while her teammate Nunez-Butzonitch came in at a tie for 61st.

Rounding out the Bison lineup was freshman Karlee Holcomb, who shot a 169 after round totals of 84 and 85.

Today concludes the fall season for Oklahoma Baptist as they'll look to build off the strong momentum garnered over the past few months in the spring.
