SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist women's golf coach
Mike Manlapig officially announced his 2020 recruiting class Wednesday, welcoming four new golfers to Bison Hill.
The 2020 group includes three golfers from Oklahoma and one all the way from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The class includes Elizabeth Lette, a two-year transfer from Redlands Community College, Morgan Landes from Dale High School, Rylei Gunter from Oklahoma Christian Academy, and Valentina Nunez, an international signee from Universal High School in Buenos Aires.
"We are very excited to add four talented players like Rylei, Morgan, Izzy, and Valentina to our team next year," Manlapig said. "These young ladies bring a wealth of skill, character, and work ethic to an already strong team. I cannot wait to see this team come together this fall to represent OBU on and off the golf course."
Manlapig has led the women's golf team for the past 10 seasons. Under his leadership the program has made two straight NCAA Regional appearances, and his teams have also made two NCCAA nationals appearances, having finished in third and fourth place, respectively. During his tenure the Bison have produced nine Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) Academic All-Americans.
