GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - The Oklahoma Baptist men's swimming and diving team entered day three of the RMAC Championships in fourth place and leave day three just 9.5 points behind Oklahoma Christian for third.
Estevao Hornos earned an NCAA B Cut in the 50 freestyle time trial with a time of 20.25.
Other notable swimmers for the Bison on the night include
Alfredo Arrieche, who claimed the fourth spot in the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:41.15,
Thomas Peterson and Hank Contich with fifth and sixth place finishes, respectively, in the 100 breaststroke, and
Tristan Villa who, with a time of 1:55.35, earned an eighth place finish in the 200 butterfly.
The 800 freestyle relay team of Villa, Peterson, Alex Yanchunas, and Arrieche finished fourth with a time of 7:08.00.
The final night of the RMAC Championships will host finals of the 1650 freestyle, 100 freestyle, 200 backstroke, 200 breaststroke, and the 400 freestyle relay. Prelims begin at 9:30 a.m.
