SHAWNEE – The Oklahoma Baptist men's swim and dive team hosted Texas Permian Basin this weekend, Friday, Oct. 30 through Saturday, Oct. 31. The Bison competed hard but came up short against the Falcons.
On day one,
Nathan Chan had a strong outing bringing in two wins. In his first win, he beat out George Black of the Falcons by 4.27 seconds in the 200-meter IM with an overall time of 2:14.65. In his second win, he knocked off George again, this time in the 200-meter Breaststroke, putting up a time of 2:30.84.

Noah Froese,
Tristan Villa, and Chen led the Bison to a win in the 200-meter relay on Friday with a cumulative time of 1:51.41.
On day two, Chan and Froese led the Bison with a win apiece in the speed events. Chan took the 100-meter Breaststroke with a time of 1:09.17 and Froese took the 50-meter Freestyle with a time of 25.17.
Villa and Alex Yanchunas led the Bison in distance events on Saturday taking the 200 and 400-meter Freestyles respectively.
"The guys did a really good job racing fast in both their main events and off events," said Head Coach
Matt Hood.
The Bison will return to action on Nov. 13, at the Eagle Invite in Edmond.
