SHAWNEE – A youthful Oklahoma Baptist men's cross country team is set to make their 2019 debut when they head to Edmond on Saturday, Sept. 7 for the University of Central Oklahoma Land Run at Edmond Santa Fe High School.
Oklahoma Baptist will see the debut of seven new freshmen at Saturday's meet. They'll be joined by three sophomores, one junior and two seniors.
The Bison claimed first place via tiebreaker over East Central in last year's edition of the Land Run, with all five scoring runners finishing in the top 20.
Noah Eskew led all Bison with a seventh-place finish and a time of 21:13.6 in the four-mile race.
Jarrett Ellis also scored for OBU after completing the course in 21:47.0, good for 18th overall.
Garrett Elmore and
Cameron Mills will also be available for Saturday's race and finished as OBU's sixth and seventh runners across the line in last year's event.
