RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – A year after recording their best-ever finish at the Great American Conference Championship, the Bison men's cross country team is picked to finish second ahead of the 2019 season. The results of the poll were released Wednesday afternoon from the conference offices.
Oklahoma Baptist opens the season on Saturday, Sept. 7 against with a short trip to Edmond for the University of Central Oklahoma Land Run at Edmond Santa Fe High School.
The Bison return five of their top seven runners from last season's GAC Runners-Up squad, including First Team All-GAC honorees
Noah Eskew and
DeAngelo Robles and Second Team honoree Jarett Ellis.
Receiving two first-place votes and 32 total points, OBU finished just behind East Central in the coaches' poll. The Tigers received the remaining five first-place votes and 35 points.
Southern Arkansas rounds out the top three after earning 25 points, followed by Harding (21), Southern Nazarene (17), Northwestern Oklahoma State (11) and Arkansas-Monticello (6).
