Lady Bison 12th After 18 Holes at Regional

MUSKOGEE, Okla. – The Oklahoma Baptist women's golf team finished the first day of competition at the 2019 NCAA Central Regional in 12th place after 18 holes. The Lady Bison posted a team total of 321 (+37) at the par-71 Muskogee Country Club.
 
Michelle Carr and Shelby Phillips were the low individual performers for OBU, standing in a tie for 27th overall after a pair of first round 79s (+8).

Elly Baze carded an opening round 81 (+10), while Hayden Meiser posted an 82 (+11) to complete the Lady Bison's team score.
 


Arkansas Tech leads the 12-team field at 15-over-par, three shots ahead of host Northeastern State.

Arkansas Tech's Peerada Piddon holds a two-shot advantage over NSU's Aitana Hernandez after firing a one-under-par 70 in round one.
 
Play continues Tuesday with 18 holes at the 5,892-yard Muskogee Country Club layout.
