MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – The Lady Bison golf team finished off a strong performance at the HSU Spring Invite by firing a school-record team score of 300 (+12) in the final round at Big Creek Country Club.

"The ladies put in a lot of hard work at practice the last couple of weeks and it paid off," said OBU head coach
Mike Manlapig. "They improved as a team each round this week and showed a lot of determination. I'm very proud of them."

OBU finished in a tie for sixth place overall, jumping four spots in the standings after Monday's opening 36 holes to finish with a three-round total of 920 (+56).

The Lady Bison surge in the final round was led by
Michelle Carr, who fired a one-over-par 71, and
Elly Baze who closed her tournament with a 72 (+2).

Sydney Bowman posted her best round of the week with a final round 76 (+4), while
Shannen Stewart rounded out OBU's team total with a five-over-par 77.

The Lady Bison next tee it up April 8-9 at the Central Region Spring Preview at Rivercut Golf Course in Springfield, Missouri, before heading to the Great American Conference Tournament in Hot Springs, Arkansas, April 14-16.
