ST JOSEPH, Mo. – Oklahoma Baptist finished in fourth place at the conclusion of the second and final round of play at the Holiday Inn Express Classic Women's Golf Tournament. The two-day, 36-hole event featured 14 teams and was played at St. Joseph's Country Club.
OBU shot a second-day 328 after opening with a 329 on Monday. The Lady Bison finished with a 36-hole total of 657, 12 strokes behind third-place Missouri Western State. Central Missouri was the winning team finishing with rounds of 315 and 317 for a 632, six strokes better than the second place, Minnesota State.

Shannen Stewart finished with a final round 76 and ended with a 17-over-par score of 161, tying her for 12
th place. Her second-round of 76 was nine strokes better than her round one score of 85.
The top scorer in the 82-golfer field was Missouri Western's Shi Qing Ong who shot a four-over, 148. Ong finished five strokes ahead of Haley Tollette of Minnesota State.
OBU's counting scores, in addition to Stewart, came fromÂ
Elly Baze, who finished in a three-way tie for 19
th. Baze carded rounds of 81-84 for a two-round total of 165.
Sydney Bowman had a total of 166, for a 22nd place tie.
Michelle Carr and
Hayden Meiser each posted a total of 168 to finish tied for 27th.
The Lady Bison will next play Monday, April 1, at the Henderson State Spring Invitational in Mountain Home, Ark.
