Malia Leatherland has been honored as the Great American Conference's Offensive Player of the Week. She is the only player this season to earn the weekly award three times.
Leatherland, a native of Broken Arrow, helped lead OBU to the program's first outright GAC regular-season title last week, averaging 5.43 kills/set and 6.29 points/set while swinging .278. She laid down 15 kills against Southern Nazarene before closing out the regular season with a 23-kill performance against Northwestern Oklahoma State to clinch the GAC crown.
Oklahoma Baptist is headed to Hot Springs, Arkansas this week for the GAC Tournament. The No. 1-seeded Bison will face No. 8-seeded Arkansas Tech at 5 PM on Thursday, Nov. 21 inside Visit Hot Springs/Bank OZK Arena.
