Emily Boyer has been named as the Great American Conference Setter of the Week. Boyer tallied 157 assists (9.81 a/s) over the weekend, including 53 in a comeback win over Wisconsin-Parkside and 42 against West Texas A&M.
The Bison also defeated Adams State and Tuskegee over the weekend, with Boyer tallying 39 and 23 assists, respectively, in the other OBU victories. With her weekend performance, Boyer now stands in second place in program history with 2,488 career assists. In addition to her assist totals, she also added 15 kill, two aces, one block, and 37 digs in the four contests.
The award is the first of Boyer's career and marks the first GAC weekly award for the Bison since Karsyn Hunter was named Defensive Player of the week on Sept. 29, 2025. Boyer and the Bison will open their home slate at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 1 against Central Oklahoma.
