SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist heads to Arkadelphia, Arkansas for the Great American Conference Championship on Saturday, Oct. 26. The race is set to begin at 10:30 AM.
The Bison will seek their first-ever conference crown at the Division II level after being picked to finish second in this year's preseason coaches' poll.
Scoring 48 points, Oklahoma Baptist placed second at the championship event last year while placing all five scoring runners in the top 18.
Noah Eskew and
DeAngelo Robles are OBU's top returners from last year's meet, completing the course in times of 25:59.8 and 26:08.9, respectively.
Jarrett Ellis (26:47.9),
Cameron Mills (26:58.4) and
Garrett Elmore (26:58.8) were all key contributors to last year's finish as well.
Oklahoma Baptist turned in their top time on an eight-kilometer course this season at the Missouri Southern Stampede when the Bison ran an average time of 26:26.
