SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist, after taking a week off, is set to make a splash in their first dual meet of the season when they make the trip up the road to Midwest City to take on Rose State College.
The Bison men's and women's swim teams are a combined 34-4 in dual meets since the programs were started ahead of the 2011-12 season, with the only losses coming against Division I Florida State and Louisiana State.
A limited roster will travel for the dual, with 13 total swimmers and divers making the trip. The men's roster includes
Jordan Atkins,
Jevonn Cobin, Kaiden Gonser,
Chase Hubbard,
Luke Miao, and Alex Yanchunas. The women's roster will feature
Allison Copeland,
Vanessa Garay,
Chase Kirby,
Kaelyn Lance,
Lydia Medigovich,
Madalyn Nevener, and
Brooke Newby.
Rose State is entering its inaugural season in the pool under the direction of Josh Everett. The Raiders will compete with two swimmers on the women's side and four for the men's team.
