SHAWNEE – The Oklahoma Baptist men's cross country team is set to host their only home meet, the Oklahoma Baptist Invitational, on Saturday, Oct. 12. The meet will begin at 10:40 a.m. at Gordon Cooper Technology Center.
Showing steady improvement this season, the Bison shaved 29.14 off their team average in the two weeks separating the Missouri Southern Stampede from the Chile Pepper Festival last Saturday. The Bison have claimed two top 10 finishes this season.
At the OBU Invitational last season, the Bison clocked in with an average time of 27:20.29. All five scoring runners finished inside the top 25, with
Noah Eskew and
Cameron Mills top returners from last year's race. The pair of sophomores placed 13th and 14th overall after completing the eight-kilometer course in 27:15.75 and 27:23.06, respectively.
