OBU is coming off a 27-26 overtime win at East Central while Southeastern Oklahoma State routed Southern Nazarene in Durant.

The Great American Conference named Oklahoma Baptist's
Luke Wendl its Special Teams Football Player of the Week. Wendl connected on field goals of 41 and 24 yards and made all three of his extra-point kicks in OBU's 27-26 win at East Central last week. His 41-yard field goal is the second 40-plus field goal of his career. He knocked home a 47-yard attempt last season.

With
Isaiah Mallory on the shelf for the 2018 season, OBU trotted out a solid running game with
Darrian Moss and
Tyler Stuever getting the bulk of the carries. Stuever ran for 78 yards on 13 carries and a pair of touchdowns with Moss going for 20 yards on 14 totes.

Preston Haire completed 31 of 49 passes for 315 yards in OBU's win at East Central. His efficiency was hurt by a pair of picks but was a solid 115.8. He also threw one touchdown pass.

Nine different Bison got in on
Preston Haire's distribution of wealth last week, with five of those receivers getting three or more catches each.
Josh Pettijohn led the group with eight catches and a touchdown while
Cagney Roberson was active with 122 yards (17.4 per catch) on seven receptions.

OBU had 419 yards of total offense last week, averaging 4.98 yards per play. Helping to make all that possible was the stalwarts up front.

Jake Foshee,
Creede Wright and
Brian Cornell led the effort as starters.

Youth served up some big pressure last week as Oklahoma Baptist's linemen spent time harassing East Central's offensive backfield.
Robert Lolofie had two tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks while
Marwin Dickerson and
Jonah Lebischak each trapped ball carriers behind the line as well.

Josh Arnold picked up where he left off last season. He logged a team-best 10 tackles for the Bison last week at ECU after leading the team in tackles last season. He had six solo tackles and four assists.

KeLandus Culton broke up two passes last week and
Felipe Alvear was involved in seven tackles to spearhead OBU's air defense. East Central misfired on 18 of its 29 passing attempts last week.

Southeastern got things done on the ground last week against Southern Nazarene, rushing for 228 yards and three touchdowns. Kenneth Burks ran for 102 yards and a couple of touchdowns. Kieron Hardrick averaged 7.8 yards per carry and Austin Skinner had 34 yards and a score.

The SOSU passing game finished with 154 yards on a nice 15-of-21 performance with two touchdowns as a team. Skinner threw for 135 yards on 12-16 passing, including both touchdown heaves. He had a rating of 187.13 for the game. Jaylen Sims was his most frequent target with five receptions and a TD while Braxton Kincade caught four passes for a team-best 60 yards and the other touchdown.

Jacob Harper led with eight tackles and an interception. Southeastern had three interceptions in the game. Seu Luafatasaga had two tackles for loss and Camerion Pumphrey registered a quarterback sack.
