Women's Golf Picked Fourth in GAC Poll

SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist is picked to finish fourth in the Great American Conference according to the women's golf preseason poll released by the conference office Thursday afternoon.
 
The Lady Bison finished 10th at the Central Regional in the spring in the first full season for OBU to compete at the NCAA Division II level.
 
Coaches voted on the preseason poll and were unable to choose their own school. OBU received 39 points in the poll for fourth place. Arkansas Tech is picked as the GAC favorites with 64 points, including eight first place votes. Southwestern Oklahoma State is second with 55 points and the remaining first place vote, followed Henderson State at 52 points.
 
Harding is fifth and picked up 32 points in the poll, Southern Arkansas is sixth at 30 points, followed by Southern Nazarene with 28 points. Arkansas-Monticello is expected to finish eighth at 14 points and Northwestern Oklahoma State is picked ninth and had 10 points.
