Women's Golf Finishes Seventh at HSU Invite

MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – (Final Results) Oklahoma Baptist wrapped up the HSU Spring Invitational, hosted by Henderson State, in seventh place Tuesday at Big Creek Golf & Country Club.
 
The Lady Bison shaved 10 strokes off their round one performance, finishing at 319 in the final round for a two-day total of 648 (329, 319). Texas A&M-Commerce claimed the team title at 608 (303, 305) and Shi Qing Ong of Missouri Western State placed first individually at 145 (71, 74).
 
Sophomore Elly Baze finished in 13^th place to pace OBU at 154 (76, 78). Michelle Carr shot the low round for the Lady Bison Tuesday with a 77 and finished tied for 24^th with a total of 158 (81, 77).
 
Shelby Phillips was tied for 43^rd place at 169 (88, 81), Shannen Stewart tied for 52^nd with a two-round score of 171 (88, 83) and Paige Neidy was 59^th at 174 (84, 90).
 
Kadrian Shelton played as an individual and finished 42^nd with a score of 168 (84, 84).
 
OBU will travel to Springfield, Missouri, on April 9 for the Central Region Spring Preview at Rivercut Golf Course.
