SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist will wrap up the regular season this weekend at the Great American Conference Championship, beginning Sunday at the Park Course at Hot Springs Country Club in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

The 54-hole tournament will be played from Sunday through Tuesday, with 18 holes played each day at the par-72 Park Course.
Michelle Carr,
Elly Baze,
Shannen Stewart,
Shelby Phillips and
Sydney Bowman will represent the Lady Bison at the conference tournament.

This will mark the first GAC Championship that OBU is eligible to compete as a team due to the transition process to full members of NCAA Division II. The Lady Bison would have finished fourth as a team had their scores counted the last two seasons.

Other teams scheduled to appear in the tournament include Arkansas Tech, Arkansas-Monticello, Harding, Henderson State, Northwestern Oklahoma State, Southern Arkansas, Southern Nazarene and Southwestern Oklahoma State.

In the final tune-up of the season, the Central Region Spring Preview, the Lady Bison finished 10
th as a team behind Carr, who tied for 26
th place at 160 (81, 79). Stewart finished 36
th at 163 (84, 79), Baze was tied for 52
nd at 168 (80, 88), Phillips finished tied for 60
th at 171 (89, 82) and Bowman tied for 65
th place at 172 (83, 89).

Due to recent heavy rains, tee times have been pushed back until 9:30 a.m. for Sunday's opening round.
