Women's Golf Wraps Up St. Edward's Invite

AUSTIN, Texas – (Final Results) Michelle Carr shot her second straight round of 79 to lead Oklahoma Baptist to a 12th place finish Tuesday at the St. Edward's Invitational.
 
Carr netted a 158 and tied for 29th place in the first tournament of the spring. The Lady Bison shot 319 in the final round at Onion Creek Club for a 645 (326, 319) two-round total.
 
Sophomore Elly Baze finished in a tie for 41st place at 161 (80, 81) and Shannen Stewart wrapped up the two-day tournament in 165 (81, 84) strokes. Sydney Bowman carded an 80 on Tuesday for a 166 (86, 80) total.
 
Shelby Phillips bounced back with a 79 Tuesday to tie for the OBU low round of the tournament. She finished in 169 (90, 79).
 
OBU will return to the course March 5 at the Diffee Ford Lincoln Invitational, hosted by Southern Nazarene at Kickingbird Golf Club in Edmond.
