LEWISVILLE, Texas – Oklahoma Baptist stands third midway through the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Swimming and Diving Championships after winning three events and picking up an automatic qualifying mark.

JP Goyetche and
David Lambert won the 200 free relay with a meet record 1:18.31 to start the evening on the right foot. The time was a B standard national qualifying time.

Josip Miskovic,
Henry Contich and
Thomas Peterson finished fifth at 1:22.87.

Felipe Ramirez Zapata won the 100 butterfly in 48.25 seconds with Del Rio tying for second at 48.31.
Tristan Villa was ninth at 50.03. Zapata and Del Rio had B standard times.

Goyetche,
Fernando Morillas Ramos, Del Rio and Lambert won the 400 medley relay in 3:14.48 for a B standard, while
Alex Mundt, Miskovic, Villas and Contich took 10
th at 3:22.40.

Otto Lehtonen accomplished an automatic qualifying mark in one-meter diving, finishing third at 490.50.

Kristijan Stunkovic placed third in the 400 individual medley at 3:57.70, followed by Mundt in fifth at 3:59.12,
Marti Penedes in sixth at 3:59.13, Peterson in 12

th. All of OBU's top six times were B standard national marks.

Drew Dickson was ninth in the 200 freestyle at 1:39.64.

Through 20 events, OBU is third with 475.5 points, trailing California Baptist at 509 and Colorado Mesa at 489.5

Action continues in the meet Friday with the 100 individual medley, 500 free, 100 backstroke, 100 breast stroke, 200 butterfly, 800 freestyle and women's one-meter diving.
