SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist (4-6, 4-6 GAC) is set to close out the regular season with a heated rivalry matchup against rival Southern Nazarene on Saturday, Nov. 10. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Crain Family Stadium at the Hurt Complex.

The Series
  • OBU claimed its first win in the series with a 34-28 win over the Crimson Storm in Bethany last year. Preston Haire accounted for 294 yards of total offense and four total touchdowns in the win.
  • The Bison have a chance to even the all-time series at 2-2 with a win on Saturday. It would also move OBU to 5-0 against Oklahoma-based Great American Conference schools in 2018.
  • Oklahoma Baptist will be looking for their first-ever win over SNU in Shawnee.
Last Time Out
  • For the second week in a row, OBU pushed back a late rally en route to a 38-31 win over Northwestern Oklahoma State on Homecoming. It was the Bison's first win over the Rangers since a 41-38 triumph in Alva during the 2015 season.
  • Despite just 187 yards through the air on 20 completions, Haire still accounted for four aerial touchdowns to four different receivers: Noah McGraw, Jacques Henderson, Josh Pettijohn and Joshua Cornell.
  • Ruben Thompson and Eli Paul served as a running back by committee in place of an injured Tyler Stuever, combining for 162 yards on the ground as OBU ran for a season-high 175 yards.
  • Thompson's 98 rushing yards were the most by an OBU back this season.
  • Landon Rowlett had a career-high two interceptions as OBU won the turnover battle, 2-1.
  • Rowlett and Felipe Alvear led OBU with nine tackles each.
OBU Offensive Report
  • Haire needs just 138 passing yards to become the first OBU quarterback ever to reach 3,000 yards passing for a season. He is currently averaging 260.2 passing yards/game while completing 60.3 percent of his throws for 25 touchdowns.
  • Haire has spread the wealth in the passing game, with 16 different receivers catching at least one pass. Cagney Roberson has 746 yards receiving on the year for a team-high 67.8 receiving yards/game. Pettijohn leads the team with six receiving touchdowns.
  • OBU averages 113.7 rushing yards/game, led by Stuever's average of 49.1 yards and six touchdowns.
  • The offensive line of Brian Cornell, Creede Wright, Jake Foshee, John Calhoun and Zach Blevins have allowed just three sacks this year to opposing defenses.
OBU Defensive Report
  • OBU is allowing an average of 42.5 points/game and 501.0 yards of total offense.
  • Josh Arnold leads the team with 91 tackles, including 44 solo stops. Alvear is second on the team with 79 tackles.
  • Alvear and KeLandus Culton boast a team-high six passes defended, respectively, while Rowlett has a team-leading two interceptions.
  • Robert Lolofie's 4.5 sacks lead the team into the final game of the season.
