Bison Sit 10th in Polls

SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist is ranked 10th in the latest collegeswimming.com Division II rankings following a seventh-place showing at the Missouri Invitational over the weekend.

"I know we will be much better second semester," said OBU head coach Sam Freas. "We'll have to improve a lot to stay in the top ten at Nationals and to have a chance to win the men's Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championship."

Felipe Ramirez owns four top 20 rankings as an individual, including third in the 200-meter backstroke, fourth in the 100-meter fly, 11th in the 200-meter fly and 20th in the 100-meter back.

Davion Conley is ranked 13th in the nation in the 100-meter breast, while Tristan Villa owns top 20 rankings in both the 100-meter and 200-meter fly. Villa is joined by Austin Saunders with a ranking of 13th in the 200-meter fly event.

Otto Lehtonen is ranked in both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events.

The Bison return to action on Nov. 29 when they travel to Austin, Texas, for the University of Texas Invitational.
