WICHITA, Kan. – Oklahoma Baptist women's indoor track and field team took first place Thursday at the Shocker Prelude.

The Lady Bison scored 151.5 points at the meet, hosted by Wichita State at the Heskett Center. Friends finished runner-up with 136 points and Emporia State was third at 86 points.

Lady Bison runners met one provisional qualifying standard and took first place in three events.

Leah Molter finished second in the 60-meter hurdles with a provisional qualifying time of 8.79. It was the 15
th fastest time in all of NCAA Division II this season.

OBU took the top two spots in the one mile run.
Tesa Potter placed first in 5:19.70 and
Emily Sechrist finished second with a time of 5:23.51.

McKae Mitchell won the 400-meter run with a finals time of 58.18.

A Lady Bison relay team took first place in the 4x800 relay in 9:57.11, winning by over 20 seconds. The race was a non-championship event.

OBU women have now met three provisional standards through two meets.

The team will return to action on Jan. 20 at the UCO Invitational, hosted in Norman.
