OLATHE, Kan. – (
Final Results) Oklahoma Baptist women's golf team placed tenth Wednesday after the final round of their first tournament, the Central Region Fall Preview.
Sydney Bowman finished the competition tied for 38th, with an 85 on Wednesday's round.
Michelle Carr was next for the Lady Bison, tied for 41st place with an 80.
Elly Baze also tied for 41st after another 81 for her second round.
Shannen Stewart shot 80 in the final round allowing her to be tied for 45th.
Paige Neidy carded an 84 to finish tied for 49th place.
Shelby Philips ended in a tie for 58th with an 81 on the day.
The team's score for the second round was 325, making their total score 644.
"I was proud of the team and how they finished after we had a tough start. They dug down deep to finish the back nine. This tournament was a good start to lead us into our second tournament," said Head Coach
Mike Manlapig.
Augustana University won the tournament with 588 (291, 297) and produced the individual winner, Hannah Hankinson, who finished at five-under 139 (69, 70) for the tournament.
OBU will tee it up again in Tahlequah next Monday and Tuesday.
