Brandon, Lehtonen Earn All-Academic Awards

SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist swimmer Chad Brandon and diver Otto Lehtonen were named Scholar All-America Honorable Mention, the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced.
 
Brandon is a junior business management and kinesiology major from Frisco, Texas. He earned First Team All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference honors in five events, and was a Second Team selection in the 200-yard backstroke.
 
Lehtonen is from Turku, Finland. He was selected First Team All-RMAC in both one-meter and three-meter diving this year.
 
In order to qualify for the award, an athlete must have a grade point average of at least 3.50 on a 4.0 scale, and achieve a "B" time standard or compete at a regional or zone qualifying meet.
