Lady Bison Qualify Eight in California

AZUSA, Calif. – Oklahoma Baptist women's track met eight NCCAA national qualifying standards at the Bryan Clay Invitational, hosted by Azusa Pacific.
 
McKae Mitchell met the standard in the 100 meters (12.23) and the 200 meters (24.56). Mitchell owns the fastest time in the NCCAA this year in both events.
 
Kya Barnes ran the third-fastest 400 meters in the NCCAA this season with a finals time of 56.01.
 
Senior Destinee Allen met the standard in the 800 meters (2:13.14) with the second-fastest time in the NCCAA this year while also meeting the NCAA Division II provisional standard.
 
Two Lady Bison qualified in the 5000 meters and met the NCAA Division II provisional standard. Kaylee Large (17:13.58) now owns the top time in the NCCAA, while Sydney Lawrence (17:21.31) posted the third-best finish this season.
 
Leah Molter qualified in the 100 meter hurdles (14.46) and set a new high-water mark in the 400 meter hurdles (1:00.81) with the fastest time in the NCCAA this year. She also met the NCAA Division II provisional standard in the 400 hurdles.
 
A team of Mitchell, Allen, Molter, and Barnes ran the fastest 4x400 meter relay in the NCCAA this year, finishing in 3:46.65. There is no qualifying time for relays in the NCCAA.
