COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Oklahoma Baptist senior
Zak Rowton is the 2016-17 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Diver of the Year, the conference office announced this week. The Bison and Lady Bison placed a total of 20 athletes on the swimming and diving all-conference teams.
OBU women featured nine swimmers earning first and second team All-RMAC honors in 16 different events. Bison men had eight competitors make the list in 22 total events.
Juliana Cifuentes and
Victoria Fonville earned all-conference status in six events each, and
Tammy Price earned first team status in five events.
JP Goyetche and
Chad Brandon earned all-conference status in six events each.
Felipe Ramirez and
Marc Sambolin both claimed five all-conference honors.
The Bison and Lady Bison were named first team in four relays, including the 200 yard freestyle relay, 400 yard freestyle relay, 200 yard medley relay, and the 400 yard medley relay. OBU was named second team in the 800 yard freestyle relay.
