LAWRENCE, Kan. – Oklahoma Baptist compete in the CSCAA Open Water Nationals at Lone Star Lake in Kansas, Saturday , placing fourth and ninth in the men's race and sixth and seventh in the women's event.

Felipe Ramirez and
Kristijan Stunkovich combined for a 3:16.28 in the five kilometer race. Mundt placed 11
th at 1:04.30.07, followed by Ramirez in 12
th at 1:05.09.64.

th at 1:07:41.38,
Josip Miskovic was 28
th at 1:13:23.74 and
Ryan Walker was 33
rd at 1:18:05.06.

Cincinnati, Carson-Newman and St. Louis went 1-2-3 and the Bison finished ahead of its new conference rival Colorado School of Mines.

"I was encouraged that we finished second for both men and women in Division 2 with Carson-Newman finishing ahead of us in both, but we beat both teams from Colorado School of Mines who is in our new conference, Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference," said Coach Sam Freas.

The OBU women finished behind Kansas, Rice, Cincinnati, Carson-Newman and Saint Louis with its team of
Juana Mafla,
Miriam Avila Martinez and
Suzanne Afchain.

Mafla finished 22
nd at 1:11:46.01, followed by Avila Martinez at 23
rd in 1:12.33.28 and Afchain in 25
th at 1:12:52.80.
