SHAWNEE – Hot off back-to-back sweeps on Thursday on the first day of competition at the National Christian College Athletic Association National Tournament, Oklahoma Baptist will look to finish up pool play with a third straight win. Standing in their way is Pool B co-leader Campbellsville, who the Lady Bison will meet at 10 a.m. on Friday morning.

Oklahoma Baptist (22-14) enjoyed a dominant start to the National Tournament, claiming wins over No. 6-seeded Southern Wesleyan and No. 7-seeded Cincinnati Christian by matching scorelines of 3-0.

Nicole Fleitman averaged 3.67 kills per set to lead the team offensively while hitting an efficient .378.
Cadyn Laing averaged 2.50 kills per set, while
Rachel Richie held an average of 1.83. After being inserted into the lineup for the squad's second match against CCU,
Adonica Wright enjoyed her best match in a Lady Bison uniform, scoring a career-high nine kills while swinging .429. As a team, the Lady Bison average 14.50 kills/set while swinging .226.

The offense enjoyed the tandem work of
Kynnedy Myers and
Hayden Blair from the setter position. Myers paced the duo with 8.83 assists per set, while Blair lightened her load with 5.50 assists/set to her credit.

On the defensive side of the floor,
Sierra VeraCruz averaged 8.67 digs/set. The senior libero also set the program record for digs in a three-set match with 33 against Cincinnati Christian.
Shekinah Sharpe has contributed with 4.83 digs/set. At the net, Laing posted 1.17 blocks per set, while three other players, including
Sophia Couto, averaged .67 blocks/set. Oklahoma Baptist held their opponents to a combined average of just 9.67 kills/set and a hitting percentage of .136.

Campbellsville (29-12) also went 2-0 on the opening day of pool play. They were led offensively by Annija Abolina with 3.00 kills/set, while Inoa Fields averaged 8.83 assists/set. Defensively, Fields paced the team with 5.5 digs/set as opponents averaged 8.17 kills/set.

The winner of Friday morning's contest will claim Pool B and play the second-placed team from Pool A at 6:30 p.m. on Friday night. The loser will play the winner of Pool A on Friday at 4:30 p.m. The NCCAA National Championship Final is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 3 at 1 p.m.
