Jarrett Ellis is an All-State cross country athlete from Wagoner High School, where he ran for Coach Toby Hummingbird.
Ellis earned All-State honors this fall and also won the Verdigris Valley Conference championship. He is a four-time winner of the WHS Lead Runner Awards.
Ellis also runs the 800, 1600 and 3200 in track with personal best times in those events of 2:00, 4:52 and 10:12.
The son of Gary and Becky Ellis, Jarrett is a Superintendant's Honor Roll Students and four time winner of the WHS 3.5 and above GPA Award.
Ellis was recruited by Southwest Baptist, Rogers State, East Central and College of the Ozarks.
"OBU had a unique campus and a Christ-centered community that appealed to me in furthering my academic and athletic career while strengthening my relationship with Christ," Ellis said.
