Meet Distance Runner Coal Phillips

Coal Phillips is a senior cross country State Champion from Carl Albert High School.
 
Coached by William Case, Phillips helped his team to a third-place finish this fall in the 2016 5A Cross Country Championship, winning the individual title. He also was a 2016 Academic State Champion.
 
His top times are 16:41 in the 5K, 2:03 in the 800, 4:42 in the 1600 and 10:21 in the 3200.
 
Phillips is the son of Heidi and John Dauria and said he selected OBU "to have a great experience at a great college and to grow closer to God doing what I love."
