SHAWNEE – Former Oklahoma Baptist catcher Jocee Frank (Sparks) was hired as the program's full-time assistant effective July 1.
Frank steps into this coaching role after serving the previous two seasons as an assistant at Seminole State College (NJCAA). During the 2026 campaign, she helped assist the program to the NJCAA Division I Women's College World Series.
The Maud, Okla., native also served within the SSC athletic department as an office manager. Furthermore, she worked with the Oklahoma City Spark in a few roles during the summer of 2023.
Frank earned her Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and Exercise Science at OBU in 2023 before attaining a Master's degree in Education from East Central in 2024.
During her playing days for the Bison, Frank started 100 games, collected 75 hits, 15 doubles, 13 homers and 59 RBI. Plus, on the defensive front, she attained 397 putouts and posted a superb .989 fielding mark.
