SHAWNEE – There were a handful of good results for the Oklahoma Baptist women's track and field team over the weekend. The team spread out and visited the Texas Relays in Austin as well as the David Suenram Gorilla Classic in Pittsburg, Kansas.
At the Texas Relays,
Jamora Horace and
Tenera Grey earned top-six finishes. In the high jump, Horace registered a fourth-place finish, with a trio of D1 athletes in front of her, with a mark of 1.75 meters. That met D2 outdoor qualifying standards.
For Grey, she placed sixth in the triple jump (11.71m).
Also of note, the 4x400 relay team of
Bianca Gleim,
Analise Gonzalez,
Favour Okoye and
Asia Foster crossed the finish line in 3:44.94. That's the No. 13 performance in D2 and met NCAA qualifying standards.
Out in Kansas,
Kiara Stallin and
Lauren Olson earned fifth place in the shot put and discus events, respectively. Stallin heaved 13.25 meters while Olson reached a personal-beset 42.09 meters.
Furthermore,
Jenn Blackford PR'd in the hammer throw, placing 15th with an effort of 40.81m.
