DURANT, Okla. — Oklahoma Baptist closed out its road series at Southeastern Oklahoma State with a doubleheader split on Saturday, falling 11–6 in the opener before responding with a 10–6 victory in game two. The Bison produced 16 total runs and 17 hits across the two contests, highlighted by multi‑homer days from
Braden Smith, sustained pressure in the middle innings, and standout relief work that helped secure the game‑two win.
Southeastern Surges Late to Take Game One, 11–6
OBU jumped ahead early in the opener as
Lucas Schaefer delivered a two‑run homer in the first, scoring
Quinn Johnson, to give the Bison a 2–0 lead. But the Savage Storm countered immediately with a four‑run bottom half, including an RBI double from Payton Poole and another run‑scoring double from Jacob Ambriz, swinging momentum to the home dugout.
Southeastern added another run in the second on a solo homer from Isaac Villa, stretching the advantage to 5–2. OBU clawed back in the fourth when
Tui Amosa doubled and
Braden Smith followed with a two‑run blast to left. One batter later,
Zane Bennett added a solo shot of his own, tying the game 5–5 and capping an emphatic three‑run frame.
The Savage Storm, however, responded with a decisive five‑run sixth inning that included a three‑run homer from Villa—his second of the contest—as well as RBI knocks from JJ Bush and Jacob Ambriz, rebuilding an 11–6 lead that OBU could not overcome.

Ben Green doubled and reached base three times.

Braden Smith launched his second homer of the day—a three‑run shot to right—to fuel a five‑run rally that flipped the score to 5–2. Moments later,
Matt Marsic added an RBI single.
Southeastern answered with a two‑run homer from Jax Heid to trim the margin to 5–4, but OBU delivered an even bigger punch in the fifth. The Bison produced five more runs in the inning behind an RBI double from
Keenan Morris, a two‑RBI single from
Ben Green, and additional pressure applied by
Kaleb Latimer,

Quinn Johnson.
On the mound,
Teagon Standlee battled through five innings to earn the win, striking out three despite allowing five runs.
