LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Greenlee Wells of the Oklahoma Baptist softball team was voted as the Louisville Slugger/National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) D2 Player of the Week on Tuesday.
She's just the third Bison to receive recognition from the NFCA. Previously during the 2024 campaign, pitcher Kayleigh Jones and third baseman
Ally Ryan were honored.
Against East Central last weekend, the senior shortstop produced five hits, including two homers, registered eight runs batted in and scored six runs. In all, she hit .625, posted a 1.625 slugging mark and .727 on-base percentage.
This season, Wells is the national leader with 14 homers, 43 RBI and 87 total bases. She's also second in slugging (1.261) and 11th in on-base percentage (.620).
